Codey, Trevor and Bobby – Senior Session

It’s no secret I LOVE senior class photo sessions. However, it seems to be 90% girls. So when I finally got the chance to shoot 3 guys, I was so excited. Especially these 3 handsome guys. I graduated from Royal HIgh School in 2000, so I have a love for anyone in green and gold. And lucky for me, these guys were not only super fun, but had school spirit through their veins. Codey, Bobby and Trevor decided o combine their shoots so they could get some shots together. They are best friends and team mates. So it was extra special.

Thanks guys, it was fun!

It’s spring time, and summer is fast approaching. And with the success of the last set of mini sessions, I have received a ton of inquiries about having another. So, if you were one of those people, or someone brand new who wants to take this opportunity, here you go!

The “Theme” and style of the shoot will be for all! You can use my props or go au natural. Couples, families, kids, maternity whatever you like! There will be golden light, an open field, wildflowers, and some rad chairs. I am also working on a few fun things to bring along!

WHEN: Saturday, May 26th, 2012

LOCATION: TBD – Think tall, wild, yellow mustard flowers, big oak trees and pretty trail.

TIME: From 5:00 – 7:30

If I haven’t already said it enough, I LOVE senior sessions. It is one of the most exciting times in their lives as high school is ending, and a whole new world is at their fingertips. I swear it feels like just yesterday I was there too!

Madi is seriously an amazing young woman. She is a great student, amazing dancer, is beautiful, and has a heart of gold!

I had so much fun with her! Good luck Madi at USC and I can’t wait to see you again when we do your family photos!

BRADY AND SHANNON – VENTURA COUNTY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

Some sessions just go so smoothly, so perfectly that you feel like it must have been a dream. This session was one of those days. I just love Shannon and have been documenting moments in her and Shawn’s lives for the past few years now. So getting to watch Brady grow is such an honor! He is such a sweet boy with an old soul. I just love these photos of him and his momma relaxing and spending mother/son time together!

The weather had not been my friend. In fact, I was pretty much in a big girl fight with it. I had scheduled a session with The Jenkins twice before and had to cancel due to the insane winds. So when our third attempt was canceled due to rain, I thought it was playing a joke on me. Thankfully I was able to squeeze them in the day before the downpour, and as usual, everything happens for a reason!

This shoot was so simple and breezy and was everything I had hoped for! Hopefully the same goes for them.

Katie and Matt you guys were so sweet and watching you with your girls is amazing. You make being the parents to two twin one years look like a piece of cake! I had a blast and hope to document your perfect family of four in the future again! Have a great day!

Hi!! So it’s been a while since i have posted what I am loving right now, so I thought I would share on this beautiful Thursday afternoon!

1. I am kind of in love with this video from Paul McDonald (last year’s American Idol member) and his new wife Nikki Reed (twilight). It is so carefree and full of love. I love the light, the breeze, the style and the song.

2. BEAUTY PRODUCTS – I go through times like this where I can’t live without certain products. Here are my current addictions!

Neutrogena Body Oil – I remember my mom using this as I grew up. So when she bought it for me a while back, I instantly knew why she loved it so much. I use it every day after the shower.

STILA – I use their bronze combo eyeshadow and the smudge pot eye liner.

Laura Mercier Bronzing loose powder – It’s expensive, but lasts forever and amazing. I swear you will love it.

Big Sexy Hair Powder Play – Holy amazing. Where has this been all my life? Gives so much body and volume to your hair. Love it.

Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in “Birthday Cake” – Best color I have found. It’s beautiful, a great texture and looks good on everyone. Trust me, I have let my friends all try it and everyone wants it.

3. Minnetonka Moccasin Sandals – I am so in love with these. I can wear them with pretty much everything. Jeans, shorts, dresses. They are adorable and sooo comfortable!4. SEQUINS – I argue with my mom about sequins. She just doesn’t get my love for them. I am going to be n Vegas in May to celebrate my best friends Nicia and Jake’s 5th anniversary and plan on wearing sequins. If not there, where else? I love the look of this below:

5. COWBOY HATS – No reason. Just that Stagecoach Music Festival is right around the corner and cowboy hat season starts!

The day was beautiful. The winds had been crazy up to the hour before the shoot, when suddenly everything calmed down and stood still. The sun peaked through the clouds and it seemed like heaven was peering through the clouds in approval. Michelle and John are so excited for the arrival of their first baby girl. Well, actually, Charlie, their mini poodle is technically their first child. I am so excited to meet your baby girl and can’t wait for the newborn session. Until then, enjoy these final moments until baby is here.
